Dorothy Denny, B.S.

Dorothy Denny, MSW, PLCSW, is a Provisionally Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing clinical services to children and adolescents at Children’s Advocacy Services. Ms. Denny received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. In her position at CASGSL, Ms. Denny sees individual clients who have been exposed to various types of trauma, including sexual abuse, physical abuse, domestic violence, and traumatic loss and conducts group therapy for parents of children with sexual behavior problems. Ms. Denny has received specialized training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, an empirically supported intervention for children with severe behavior disorders and provides PCIT to children and families at CASGSL. Ms. Denny currently directs CASGSL’s Integrated Treatment of Complex Trauma (ITCT) program. Ms. Denny's clinical interests include assessment and treatment of traumatized children, children with sexual behavior problems, and children suffering the impacts of complex trauma, particularly traumatic loss and domestic violence.
