Kristin Barker, MSW, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker who provides clinical services to children and adolescents at CASGSL.  Ms. Barker received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis and maintains membership in the National Association of Social Workers.  Ms. Barker currently directs the Trauma Assessment, Skills, and Knowledge (TASK) program, a trauma-informed parenting group for caregivers of children who have experienced trauma.  She also assists in directing the Child and Family Traumatic Stress    Intervention program, an empirically supported short-term treatment intervention designed to reduce the impact of trauma on children and their families immediately following a traumatic event or the child’s disclosure.  Ms. Barker’s clinical interests include the assessment and treatment of children who have been exposed to various types of trauma, including complex trauma, and children presenting with disruptive or sexualized behaviors.

Ms. Barker also coordinates CASGSL’s field education program.
